게임즈워크샵(이하 “회사”)은 이용자의 개인정보를 안전하게 보호하기 위하여 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 본 개인정보 처리방침은 회사가 이용자의 개인정보를 어떻게 수집하고 이용하는지 안내합니다.

본 방침은 www.blacklibrary.com, www.warhammer.com, www.warhammer-community.com, www.warhammerdigital.com, warhammerworld.games-workshop.com, www.mywarhammer.com, 그 밖에 회사가 수시로 운영하는 마이크로사이트(micro-site), 각종 소셜미디어 계정, 애플리케이션(이하 통칭하여 "웹사이트") 등과 관련하여 회사가 수집하는 개인정보에 적용됩니다.

본 방침은 회사의 고객서비스팀이 이용자로부터 수집하는 개인정보에도 적용됩니다.

웹사이트를 통하여 수집되는 개인정보의 처리자는 서울특별시 마포구 월드컵북로2길 19(동교동 위더스빌딩) 9층(우편번호 03995)에 소재한 게임즈워크샵코리아 주식회사입니다.

본 개인정보 처리방침은 이용자의 개인정보를 처리하는 목적 및 방법에 관한 사항을 안내하오니 주의 깊게 읽어보시기 바랍니다.

1 개인정보 수집항목

회사가 수집·보관·이용하는 개인정보의 항목은 다음과 같습니다.

• 개인 연락처(성명, 호칭, 주소, 이메일 주소, 전화번호 등)

• 생년월일

• 국가, 언어

• 은행계좌 정보, 신용카드·직불카드 정보, 결제 정보

• 웹사이트를 통하여 접수되고 회사가 이행하는 구매 및 거래 정보

• 웹사이트를 통하여 운영되는 이벤트 참여 과정에서 제공된 정보

• 웹사이트를 통하여 진행되는 설문조사 참여 과정에서 제공된 정보

• 내부·외부 행사, 토너먼트 주최자, 토너먼트 서킷(tournament circuit: 경기 성적이 연계되는 각종 대회), 제3자 제공자를 통하여 수집되는 전적, 순위점수(ranking point), 사진 등의 토너먼트 및 경기 관련 정보

• 전화, 이메일, 소셜미디어 또는 그 밖의 수단을 통한 이용자와의 통신 기록

• 워해머 얼라이언스(Warhammer alliance) 신청 과정에서 제공된 학교, 클럽(학교 또는 지역의 워해머 동호회) 또는 스카우트 단체의 명칭과 클럽 규모, 스카우트 지도자 또는 교사 정보(연락처, 식별번호, 주소 및 그 밖의 정보)

• 통화 정보(통화녹음, 전화번호, 통화 길이 등)

• 기프트 리스트(Gift List: 선물받고 싶은 상품 목록) 정보

• 소셜미디어 프로필 정보(프로필 이름·사진 등)

• 사진

• 관심제품, 선호제품

• 웹사이트 방문 정보 및 접속기기를 통한 웹사이트 이용 내역(검색·탐색 이력, 접속한 페이지, 클릭한 링크 등)

• 부정사용 예방 활동과 관련하여 제3자가 산정한 개인별 위험도 점수

• 이용자의 접속기기로부터 자동으로 수집되는 정보로서, IP 주소, 접속기기 유형, 운영체제, 기기의 고유식별번호, 브라우저 유형, 대략적인 위치정보(국가 또는 도시 수준) 및 그 밖의 기술정보

2 개인정보 수집방법

회사는 이용자가 자발적으로 제공하는 정보를 수집합니다. 웹사이트에서 제공되는 서비스 중 일부는 회원가입, 상품 주문, 서비스 신청, 마케팅 정보 수신 및/또는 문의 접수를 위하여 개인정보의 자발적 제공을 요청할 수 있습니다. 또한, 회사는 서면, 전화 또는 이메일로 이용자가 회사의 고객서비스팀에 자발적으로 제공하는 정보를 수집합니다.

회사는 웹사이트에 토너먼트 순위 및 우승자 정보(사진 등)를 게시할 목적으로 이용자의 인지 하에 제3자 행사 서비스 제공업체로부터 관련 정보를 수집·공유할 수 있습니다.

회사는 또한 부정사용 예방 의무를 이행하기 위하여 제3자로부터 개인별 위험도 점수 등의 분석적 정보를 수집합니다.

3 개인정보 수집목적

개인정보를 수집·처리하는 목적은 다음과 같습니다.

• 뉴스레터 수신·열람 현황 모니터링을 통한 뉴스레터 서비스의 개선 및 최적화

• 이용자와의 분쟁 처리

• 웹사이트 내 불법·부적절 활동 탐지 및/또는 예방(그러한 활동의 블랙리스트 등재 포함)

• 거래금지 또는 거래제한 대상과의 거래 방지 의무 이행

• 직원 교육

• 개인정보 권리행사 요청 처리

위에서 기술한 개인정보의 수집 및 이용에 관한 법적 근거는 개인정보의 성격과 이를 수집하는 경우에 따라 다릅니다. 이러한 근거의 유형에는 (i) 이용자와의 계약 이행을 위한 경우, (ii) 이용자의 권리를 침해하지 않는 범위 내에서 회사의 정당한 이익을 위하여 처리하는 경우, (iii) 이용자의 사전 동의를 받은 경우, (iv) 회사가 개인정보를 수집할 법적 의무가 있는 경우 등이 있습니다.

회사(또는 제3자)의 정당한 이익을 근거로 개인정보를 수집·이용하는 경우, 이는 통상적으로 정당한 상업적 이익과 관련된 것으로서, 웹사이트 운영을 통한 상품 및 서비스 제공, 이용자와의 상호작용 및 문의 응대, 고객관계 관리, 상담 내역 모니터링, 고객 행동·구매내역 분석, 마케팅 최적화, 미완료 주문 안내, 기프트 리스트 및 디지털 바우처 서비스 운영, 고객 피드백 수집, 분쟁 처리, 직원 교육, 불법·부적절 활동의 탐지 및 예방 등을 목적으로 합니다.  회사의 정당한 이익은 전술한 내용에 한정되지 않으며, 필요한 경우 적절한 시점에 그러한 이익에 관하여 이용자에게 명확히 고지할 것입니다.

개인정보의 수집 및 이용의 법적 근거에 관한 의문사항이나 추가 정보는 회사로 문의하시기 바랍니다(문의처는 제13조 참조).   

4 개인정보 제공 미동의에 관한 사항

회사가 요청하는 특정 정보를 이용자가 제공하지 않는 경우 회사는 이용자와 체결한 계약을 이행할 수 없거나 회사의 법적 의무를 이행하지 못할 수 있습니다.

5 수집목적 외 이용

회사는 개인정보를 수집한 목적으로만 이용하며, 그러한 목적과 관련이 있다고 합리적으로 판단되는 경우에 한하여 다른 목적으로 이용합니다. 수집목적과 관련이 없는 목적으로 개인정보를 이용해야 하는 경우 이용자에게 사전에 통지하고 관련 법적 근거를 설명합니다.

법령에 따라 요구되거나 허용되는 경우에는 이용자의 인지 또는 동의 없이 개인정보가 처리될 수 있음을 알려드립니다.

6 개인정보의 안전성 확보

회사는 개인정보가 우발적으로 분실, 이용, 접근, 변경 또는 공개되는 것을 방지하기 위하여 적절한 기술적·관리적 보호조치를 시행하고 있습니다. 회사는 개인정보 처리의 위험성에 상응하는 수준의 조치를 취하며, 이는 다음을 포함합니다.

• 시설 출입 통제 – 개인정보가 처리되는 시설, 건물, 방에는 허가된 인원만 접근할 수 있습니다.

• 정보시스템 접근 통제 – 정보시스템에 전자적으로 보관된 개인정보에는 허가된 인원만 접근할 수 있습니다.

• 정보시스템 보안 통제 – 개인정보를 안전하게 보관하기 위하여 적절한 기술적 조치 및 보안 조치를 적용합니다.

• 정책 및 절차 – 개인정보 취급자로 하여금 개인정보 보호 및 정보시스템 보안에 관한 포괄적인 정책 및 절차를 준수하게 합니다.

• 교육 – 개인정보를 취급하는 모든 직원에게 데이터 보호 및 정보시스템 보안 교육을 꾸준히 실시합니다.

7 개인정보의 제3자 제공

회사는 다음과 같은 경우 개인정보를 제3자에게 제공할 수 있습니다.

• 서비스 제공업체

회사는 회사에 서비스를 제공하는 제3자에게 개인정보를 제공합니다. 제3자 서비스 제공업체가 수행하며 개인정보 처리가 동반되는 활동에는 웹사이트 호스팅, 웹사이트 최적화 및 이용기록 분석, 엣지 캐싱 서비스, 결제 처리, 물품 배송, 미결제 주문 알림, 이메일 및 마케팅 자료의 성과 모니터링 및 최적화, 고객 설문조사 서비스, 고객서비스 사례 관리 플랫폼의 운영 및 유지보수, 통화녹음 시스템 유지보수, 소셜미디어 플랫폼의 호스팅 및 유지보수, 문서 및 정보 협업·공유 플랫폼, 정보시스템 서비스 등이 있습니다. 개인정보의 제3자 제공에 관한 보다 자세한 사항은 아래의 표[7.2. 게임즈워크샵이 자신의 업무 목적을 위하여 외부 서비스 제공업체(“처리자”)에 개인정보 처리 업무를 위탁하여, 해당 업체가 개인정보에 접근하거나 해당 업체에 개인정보가 제공되는 경우(개인정보의 “처리위탁”)]를 참조하거나 회사로 문의하시기 바랍니다(문의처는 제13조 참조).

모든 제3자 서비스 제공업체는 개인정보 보호를 위한 적절한 보안조치를 취해야 합니다. 회사는 제3자 서비스 제공업체가 개인정보를 독자적 목적으로 사용하는 것을 금지합니다. 회사는 서비스 제공업체가 회사를 대신하여 개인정보를 처리하는 경우 회사의 지시에 따라 지정된 목적을 위해서만 처리하도록 허용합니다.

• 게임즈워크샵 그룹

회사는 정기적인 경영성과 보고의 일환으로, 또는 사업 구조개편이나 그룹 구조조정을 위하여, 또는 시스템 유지보수를 위하여, 개인정보를 회사 그룹 내 계열사와 공유할 수 있습니다.

• 매각 또는 구조조정

회사는 회사를 매각하거나 구조조정을 실시하는 경우에 개인정보를 제공할 수 있으며, 이 경우 사업의 양수인이 해당 정보를 본 방침에 명시된 목적으로만 사용하도록 고지합니다.

• 법령, 법적 권리, 급박한 이익

회사는 (i) 관련 법령을 준수하거나 (ii) 회사의 법적 권리를 행사, 확립 또는 방어하거나 (iii) 이용자 또는 제3자의 급박한 이익을 보호하기 위하여 개인정보를 공개할 필요가 있다고 판단되는 경우, 해당 정보를 수사기관, 규제기관, 정부기관, 법원 또는 그 밖의 제3자에게 제공할 수 있습니다.

• 이용자 동의

전술한 경우 외에, 회사는 이용자가 특정 개인정보를 제공하는 데 명시적으로 동의한 때에는 해당 정보를 제3자에게 제공할 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 기프트 리스트를 공개할 수 있습니다.

회사는 다음의 제3자에게 개인정보를 제공합니다.

7.1 제3자(“수령자”)의 업무 목적을 위하여 해당 제3자가 개인정보에 접근하거나 해당 제3자에게 개인정보가 제공되는 경우(개인정보의 “제공”)

7.2 게임즈워크샵이 자신의 업무 목적을 위하여 외부 서비스 제공업체(“처리자”)에 개인정보 처리 업무를 위탁하여, 해당 업체가 개인정보에 접근하거나 해당 업체에 개인정보가 제공되는 경우(개인정보의 “처리위탁”)

7.3 국외 제3자로의 개인정보 이전

개인정보를 제공받는 국외 제3자(수령자)의 전체 명단은 [링크]에서 확인하실 수 있습니다.

이용자는 회사의 개인정보 보호팀(privacy@gwplc.com 또는 +44 115 900 4000)에 위와 같은 개인정보의 국외 이전에 대하여 이의를 제기할 권리가 있습니다. 이의가 제기된 개인정보 처리 항목에 따라, 회사는 이용자와 계약을 체결하지 못할 수 있습니다.

8 개인정보의 국외 이전

회사는 개인정보를 대한민국 외로 이전할 수 있습니다. 회사는 적정 수준의 보호조치가 마련된 경우에 한하여 개인정보를 대한민국 외로 이전합니다. 회사는 대한민국 외에서 개인정보가 적정 수준의 보호를 받을 수 있도록 다음의 보호조치를 적용합니다.

• 개인정보 보호 수준의 적정성이 인정되는 국가, 또는 적정성에 관한 국가간 상호 협정이 체결된 국가로 개인정보를 이전함

• 개인정보 이전의 적법성을 보장하기 위하여 개인정보보호위원회의 개인정보보호 인증을 취득한 수령자에게 개인정보를 이전함

• 개인정보 적정성 인정 국가 외의 국가에 소재한 기업으로 개인정보를 이전하는 경우 정보주체의 명시적 동의를 받음

대한민국 외에서 적용되는 보호조치에 관한 자세한 사항은 요청 시 제공됩니다. 자세한 정보는 제13조에 명시된 문의처로 요청하시기 바랍니다.

개인정보 수령자의 명단은 위의 표(7.3. “국외 제3자로의 개인정보 이전”)를 참조하시기 바랍니다.

9 개인정보 보유기간

회사는 위에서 기술한 목적을 달성하는 데 필요한 기간에 한하여 개인정보를 보유합니다. 이러한 목적에는 법적 요건, 회계 요건 또는 보고 요건을 충족하는 것도 포함됩니다.

회사는 대부분의 개인정보를 계약 기간 동안 및/또는 2~10년간 보유합니다. 개인정보 보유기간의 목록은 위의 “7.1. 제3자(“수령자”)의 업무 목적을 위하여 해당 제3자가 개인정보에 접근하거나 해당 제3자에게 개인정보가 제공되는 경우(개인정보의 “제공”)”와 “7.3. 국외 제3자로의 개인정보 이전”을 참조하시기 바랍니다.

개인정보를 처리할 정당한 사업상의 필요가 없는 경우, 회사는 해당 정보를 파기하거나 익명화합니다. 단, 즉시 파기가 불가능한 경우(예: 개인정보가 백업 시스템에 저장된 경우)에는 파기가 가능해질 때까지 해당 정보를 안전하게 보관하고, 추가로 처리가 일어나지 않도록 격리합니다.

개인정보의 파기 절차 및 방법은 다음과 같습니다.

(a) 파기 절차: 회사는 파기 사유가 발생한 개인정보를 선정하고, 회사의 개인정보 보유정책 또는 개인정보 보호책임자의 승인에 따라 해당 정보를 파기합니다.

(b) 파기 방법: 전자적 파일 형태로 기록·보관된 개인정보는 내용을 복구할 수 없는 기술적 방법을 사용하여 파기하며, 종이 문서에 기록·보관된 개인정보는 파쇄하거나 소각합니다.

회사는 개인정보의 양과 성격, 민감도, 무단 이용 또는 유출 시 발생할 수 있는 위험, 처리목적과 대체 수단의 존재 여부, 관련 법령상의 요건을 종합적으로 고려하여 적정한 보유기간을 산정합니다.

경우에 따라 회사는 특정 개인을 식별할 수 없도록 개인정보를 익명화할 수 있으며, 이 경우 회사는 이용자에게 별도로 통지하지 않고 해당 정보를 이용할 수 있습니다.

10 정보주체의 권리

특정한 경우, 정보주체는 법령에 따라 다음과 같은 권리를 가집니다.

• 개인정보의 열람을 요청할 권리

• 불완전하거나 부정확한 개인정보의 정정을 요청할 권리

• 개인정보를 계속 처리할 정당한 사유가 없는 경우, 해당 정보의 삭제를 요청할 권리

• 회사가 정당한 이익을 근거로 개인정보를 처리하는 경우, 해당 개인정보 처리에 대하여 이의를 제기할 권리

• 회사가 특정 목적을 위하여 동의를 받아 개인정보를 처리하는 경우, 해당 동의를 언제든 철회할 권리

• 개인정보의 처리 정지를 요청할 권리

• 회사에 제공한 개인정보를 제3자에게 전송하도록 요청할 권리

• 회사가 발송하는 마케팅 정보의 수신을 언제든 거부할 권리

위의 권리를 행사하고자 하는 경우 회사로 요청하시기 바랍니다(문의처는 제13조 참조).

위의 권리를 행사하는 데는 수수료가 부과되지 않습니다. 단, 권리행사 요청이 근거 없거나 과도한 경우 회사는 합리적인 수준의 수수료를 부과하거나 해당 요청을 거부할 수 있습니다.

회사는 정보주체의 신원과 권리행사 자격을 확인하기 위하여 추가 정보를 요청할 수 있음을 알려드립니다.

회사의 개인정보 처리에 이의가 있는 경우, 정보주체는 감독 당국에 민원을 제기할 권리가 있습니다. 관련 기관의 연락처는 여기에서 확인하시기 바랍니다.

11 협조 요청

회사가 이용자의 개인정보를 정확하고 최신의 상태로 유지할 수 있도록, 회사가 보유한 이용자의 개인정보에 변동이 생기는 경우 지체 없이 알려주시기 바랍니다(문의처는 제13조 참조).

이용자가 타인(예: 기프트 수령자)의 개인정보를 회사에 제공하는 경우, 이용자는 해당인에게 회사가 개인정보의 처리주체임을 알리고, 개인정보의 처리목적을 안내하였으며, 해당인으로부터 회사의 개인정보 처리에 대하여 동의를 얻은 것으로 간주됩니다.

12 개인정보 처리방침의 변경

본 개인정보 처리방침은 수시로 변경될 수 있습니다. 본 방침을 변경하는 경우 회사는 변경사항의 중요도에 따라 적절한 방법으로 이를 이용자에게 통지합니다. 회사는 중요한 변경사항에 대해서는 법령에서 요구하는 경우 이용자의 동의를 받을 것입니다.

본 개인정보 처리방침의 최종 개정일은 본 문서 상단에 표시된 날짜를 참조하시기 바랍니다.

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognise or track visitors to a website.  We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs").  These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognise when someone has visited our Websites or opened an e-mail that we have sent them.  This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Websites to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Websites from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns.  In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

We also use Google signals session data from sites and apps that Google associates with users who have signed in to their Google accounts, and who have turned on Ads Personalisation. This association of data with these signed-in users is used to enable cross-device reporting, cross-device remarketing, and cross-device conversion export to Google Ads. Do you serve targeted advertising?

When you visit our website, selected third parties may serve cookies on your computer or mobile device to allow relevant adverts to be delivered to you on third party websites. We do this using a variety of digital marketing networks and exchanges, advertising technologies like web beacons, pixels and cookies, in addition to technology offered by third parties such as Facebook pixel's custom audience feature. The adverts which you see will be based on your previous use of the Games Workshop website. The information collected through this process does not enable us or the third party websites to identify your name, contact details or other personally identifying details unless you choose to provide these.  We will use anonymous information about the ad you saw and how you engaged with it to measure and improve our advertising campaigns in the future.

We collect information that you provide voluntarily. This may be in connection with a subscription for White Dwarf, the submission by you of letters, ideas or other material to us, or to submit enquiries to us. The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.

3 Why do we collect your personal information?

The situations in which we will process your personal information are listed below:

• To use material submitted by you for the purposes of producing content for publication within White Dwarf, and across our websites and social media channels or newsletters.

• To communicate and interact with our readers.

• To take subscriptions for White Dwarf, and satisfy our obligations in respect of any magazine subscriptions.

• To manage our subscription database.

• To handle any customer service queries in respect of subscriptions.

• To operate competitions, communicate with entrants, and publish details of winners.

• To interact with you and handle and respond to communications with you.

• To handle any disputes which we may have with you.

Our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above will depend on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it, such as: (i) for the purpose of performing a contract with you, (ii) where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights, or iii) where we have your consent to do so.

If we collect and use your personal information in reliance on our legitimate interests (or those of any third party), this interest will normally be for our legitimate commercial interest, for maintaining good reader relations, and dispute resolution. 4 What if you fail to provide personal information?

If you fail to provide certain information when requested we may not be able to perform any contract we have entered into with you.

6 How secure is your information?

- IT access controls – only authorised personnel are able to gain access to your information stored electronically within our IT systems.

- Policies & procedures – comprehensive data protection and IT security policies and procedures setting out the way in which your information must be handled by staff.

- Training – delivery of ongoing data protection and IT security training to all staff handling your information.

7 Who might we share your information with?

We may share your personal information in the situations detailed below:

1. Service providers

We share your personal information with third parties who provide services to us. The following activities all involve the processing of personal information and are carried out by third party service providers: mailing and distribution services, database and mailing list management services,digital publication and distribution services, hosting and maintenance of social media platforms, document and information collaboration and sharing, IT services, printing services, translation services. All service providers are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. We do not allow third party service providers to use your information for their own purposes. We only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes in accordance with our instructions.

2. Games Workshop group

We may share your personal information with other entities in our group of companies as part of regular reporting activities on company performance, in the context of business reorganisation or group restructuring, or for system maintenance support.

3. Sale or restructure

We may share your personal information in the context of the possible sale or restructuring of the business, provided that we inform the buyer it must use your personal information only for the purposes disclosed in this notice.

4. Law, legal rights and vital interests

We may also need to share your information with a law enforcement body, regulator, government agency, court or other third party where we believe disclosure is necessary (i) as a matter of applicable law, (ii) to exercise, establish or defend our legal rights, or (iii) to protect your vital interests or those of any person.

We may share your personal information where you have specifically consented to such disclosure.

8 Do you transfer my information outside of the European Union?

We may transfer your personal information outside the European Economic Area (EEA). For example, our IT service providers operate around the world. We will only transfer your personal information outside the EEA if adequate protection measures are in place. To ensure that your personal information does receive an adequate level of protection outside the EEA we use the following protection measures:

• Transferring to countries approved by the European Commission

• Using model contractual clauses approved by the European Commission

• Requiring companies we transfer information to in the United States to be signed up to the EU/US Privacy Shield Framework

9 How long do we keep hold of your information?

We only retain your information for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which it has been processed, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use such information without further notice to you.

10 What are your rights in connection with your personal information?

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

• Request access to a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

• Request correction of any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you.

• Request erasure of information where there is no good reason for continued processing.

• Object to processing of your information where we are relying on a legitimate interest to process your information.

• Where we are processing your information for a particular purpose based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

• Request restriction to suspend our processing of your personal information.

• Request transfer of your personal information to another party which you have provided to us.

• Opt out of marketing communications which we send you at any time.

You will not have to pay a fee to exercise any of your rights, however we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is unfounded or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such circumstances.

11 What we ask of you?
