Nazthák was a veteran Orc captain in the service of the Witch-king of Angmar, who managed to survive for years longer than many of his kind, making use of whatever he could find on the bodies of the fallen to aid in the battles raging around him. As for the Shadow of Rhudaur, some say he was once a mighty ruler of Men, tortured and manipulated into the service of Angmar. Others whisper that he was an ancient king, bitter and cruel to his people, who continues his reign of terror following his raising by the power of the Witch-king.
