he Blood Angels Legion make extensive use of the Iliastus-pattern assault cannon, a fickle but fearsome weapons system that compresses the firepower of a full assault cannon into a more mobile form. These roaring prototype cannons are well-suited to the Legion's close range fire tactics, and have even given rise to so-called Baal Predators – specialised tanks that shred enemy formations with an auto-storm of anti-personnel destruction.
