When the Word Bearers launched their surprise attack on Calth, Remus Ventanus was central to the XIII Legion’s counter-offensive – rallying the shattered remnants of the Ultramarines to regain control of the Calth defence grid. Ventanus continued to fight even as his Primarch issued the order to evacuate the dying planet.
